On Building Azyre: Thirty Years In

Some projects sit on the shelf for a year. Some sit for thirty.

Azyre is one of those long-burning ones — a fantasy world that started in the margins of elementary school notebooks and just kept growing. Characters, places, factions, technology, mythology. Some of it has changed dramatically over three decades. Some of it has been there from the start, refusing to evolve, which is its own kind of useful information about what actually matters in the story.

This site is, in part, the place where Azyre finally gets to step out of the notebooks. Not as one giant lore dump — more as scattered glimpses, the way you’d encounter a real world: a piece of architecture here, a character study there, a writing fragment elsewhere. The whole picture only forms across many visits.

If you’re early to this, thank you. The galleries will fill in over the coming weeks.
